Bundling Film

Bundling film is designed to secure multiple items together for safe transport and storage. It offers higher strength than standard shrink film, making it ideal for heavier products, multi-packs, and protective unitising without damaging the goods.

Bundling film is a narrow, high-cling stretch film used to unitise small items, multipacks, or irregular-shaped products without a full pallet wrap. Use it instead of standard stretch wrap when securing bundles of pipes, timber, cans, or retail multipacks where a full pallet wrap would be excessive or impractical.

The amount of stretch film required to wrap a standard pallet depends on the pallet size, load weight, transport conditions, and the type of stretch film being used. For a typical Australian pallet (1165mm x 1165mm), most businesses use enough film to apply 3–5 wraps around the base, several wraps around the load body, and 3–5 wraps around the top for stability.

A standard hand stretch film roll can often wrap between 25 and 60 pallets depending on film thickness and application technique. Machine stretch film generally achieves greater yield because pre-stretch technology reduces film consumption while maintaining load security.

Heavy products, unstable loads, export freight, and long-distance transport may require additional wraps or higher-performance stretch film.
